The Chairperson of the Britain Tanzania Society (UK Chapter), Mrs Elizabeth Fennell and her husband, Ronald Fennell, will be visiting Kagera Region-Tanzania particularly Bukoba and Karagwe in particular. The couple is scheduled to arrive in Bukoba on Sunday 05 June 2005. The main purpose of their visit is to witness progress of the projects that have had support of the Society. These projects include: Lugambwa Secondary School; Kabale Secondary School; Bukoba Regional Hospital; Kikukwe Women's Beekeeping Cooperative; Kashai Primary School; and the Eden Centre for Appropriate technology at Nyakasimbi, Karagwe. They will be accompanied by Rotarian Elias Mashasi (BTS Representative in Kagera). Mr. Ron Fennell, who is a member of the Development Aid Committee which allocates the funds of the Tanzania Development Trust.
They would be very keen to meet us at FADECO, visit the Eden Centre and to discuss our future plans and objectives on the 7th June 2005. From our point of view, it being the purpose of the Tanzania Development Trust to help alleviate poverty, we would be keen to see the benefits of the training going to marginalised youth and orphans.
