The curriculum will follow a polytechnic nature and geared towards imparting and transferring skills. Course will range from a few weeks to some months. Graduates may have the opportunity to join other formal institutions to sit for formal examinations. The teaching of the English language will be fostered at the centre and groups of people may come for functional literacy programmes.
The centre would act as a resource centre with demonstration gardens and other projects from which people would come and learn. It would be possible to set up workshops to train youths in carpentry, tailoring, masonry, environmental management and many income/ employment generation activities.
The centre when completed is set to offer life-skills training to 24-48 people at any- one-residential training (offering accommodation facilities in the dormitories) and with conference/meeting room/ classroom sitting 50 trainees (participants). Running costs of the centre will be generated from user contribution in terms of fees or subscriptions.
